Position Title: Director, Corporate Partnerships

Job Summary:
Contribute to a private sector fundraising goal of $20M per year that includes a coordinated solicitation of corporate grants, cause marketing and employee engagement opportunities. Work in partnership with the SVP, RD to successfully implement the Resource Development team plan. Strategize and contribute in all areas of the RD team including planning, budgeting, staffing, reporting, donor cultivation, new business development, donor deliverables, board solicitation, and reporting. Initiate, solicit and close major national corporate funding partnerships and promotions to support Council’s Strategic Plan.
Responsible for managing 5-6 major corporate accounts ($3-5MM per year) to achieve annual corporate fundraising goals. Develop RD updates for the Board of Trustees.In partnership with account manager, monitor activity via reports and frequent customer contact; develop and deliver formal performance reports to each assigned account at least once annually. Provide leadership to the corporate proposal development process and other special RD projects, working in tandem with cross-functional teams to ensure acquisition of new business, achieving deliverables, and renewing partnerships.
Maintain effective working relationship with corporate partners’ management teams and account management team. Develop and maintain knowledge of corporate giving interests, staff and trends. Lead and supervise other projects as required by Senior Vice President, Resource Development. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree or related education/experience in non-profit administration preferred. Minimum of seven (7) years of demonstrated successful corporate fundraising. Successful track record with planning, managing and initiating relationships between the corporate and non-profit sectors is essential. Progressive work history of increased team and system management, responsibility and accountability.
Experience working with high level corporate representatives and volunteer Board members is a plus. Goal-oriented; proficient in prioritizing tasks; ability to think strategically; strong project and time management skills; excellent verbal and written presentation skills; basic knowledge of marketing strategies and tactics; superior interpersonal skills; problem resolution skills and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must be a self-starter with strong leadership, management, and communication skills. Ability to build project budgets is required and to managing multiple tasks with varying deadlines.
