Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has provided a grant to the National 4-H Council for the project entitled, “Preparing Young Farmers to Reduce Hunger and Poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa.” In the 30 month project, National 4-H Council will collaborate with partners in Sub-Saharan Africa to build sustainable, African-led systems that equip the next generation of African smallholder farmers with knowledge and skills needed to participate in crop and livestock agricultural value chains, with special emphasis on young women.

DuPont, Pioneer Hi-Bred

DuPont and Pioneer Hi-Bred are sponsors of the 4-H Ag Science initiative. This program engages young people in the modern, high-tech and fascinating field of ag science. Through online and social networking activities, DuPont and Pioneer Hi-Bred are helping 4-H bring new discoveries and awareness in biotechnology, genetics, alternative energy and other fields to millions of young people.

DuPont and National 4-H Council have a partnership to strengthen youth development in rural African communities. DuPont’s commitment of up to $2 million over the next two years will allow the global 4-H network to help African youth create sustainable livelihoods and improve household and national food security for people across the continent.

The Adobe Foundation and 4-H are bringing the 4-H Adobe Youth Voices Program to thousands of young people across America, allowing them to express their voice through new media. Through 4-H AYV, young people are learning new technology, self-expression, team building, and creating works of media which showcase community issues.

UnitedHealthcare is a sponsor of 4-H Healthy Living, working with 4-H to help youth lead healthier lives. UCH's support is helping to train 4-H and UHC adult leaders and 4-H Healthy Living Teen Ambassadors to deliver content and activities on nutrition and healthy living at community-based organization programs and 4-H afterschool, camps and clubs.

Coca-Cola and 4-H have partnered for more than 25 years to help young people thrive. Today, 4-H environmental projects--sponsored through collaboration with Coca-Cola --include recycling, community beautification, and water conservation. This is also evident through 4H2Online -- an online community for young people to interact and learn about the environment.

Molina Healthcare is a sponsor of 4-H Healthy Living, working with 4-H to help youth and families lead healthier lives.
