    Pillowcases

    Averee used the skills she learned from a 4-H project to sew colorful pillowcases to give to children staying in the local hospital for cancer treatment.

    My shoes started a revolution.

    Emma started a project collecting used shoes to bring life-saving clean water to over 20 communities in impoverished lands overseas.

    Our cooking oil started an alternative-energy revolution.

    This group of Michigan 4-H'ers found a way to turn their school's used cooking oil into bio-diesel fuel to help run their school buses and give to local farmers to run their tractors and equipment.

    Our coins started a revolution.

    These Georgia 4-H'ers hosted a book sale and 'change war' to raise money to help rebuild a local library that burned down in Twiggs County.

    Our plunge started a revolution

    The Muhlenberg County 4-H Teen Club hosted an annual Penguin Plunge to raise more than $44k to help provide children from low-income families more nutritious food options.
     

    Our Facebook page started a revolution.

    Eight high-school students in Mississippi taught the community how to optimize social media  for both business and safety.

    My warm clothes started a revolution.

    Conner started a community service program in called Share the Warmth, where he collects new and used coats, hats, mittens, scarves and blankets.

    Our chili cook-off started a revolution.

    The Carroll County 4-H Leadership Club started an annual Chili Cook-off and pie auction to raise donations and create awareness for public health care in the community.

    Our lunch boxes started a revolution.

    A team of 12 4-H'ers created and donated lunch boxes and hygiene kits to give new resources to those below the poverty line in their community.

    My sheep started a revolution.

    Nate SeeseWe're proud to announce that Nate Seese, a 4-H'er from Byron Center, Michigan, is the 2012 Youth in Action winner! Nate was honored at the recent 4-H Legacy Awards Gala, attended by a star-studded group of honorees and present and past  4-H'ers. Also in attendence were former 4-H'ers, Jennifer Nettles, of the duo Sugarland, and recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Medallion; and Carla Hall, celebrity chef and host of ABC's daytime show, The Chew.
