  • HR Generalist

    The HR Generalist is responsible for the administration and coordination of a wide range of human resource activities for the National 4-H Council. The HR Generalist will develop and implement programs to build organizational capacity through associate development, communications, and relations. The primary focus areas include recruitment, retention, training, orientation, surveying, payroll, and associate relations and communications. This position works closely with the Director, Human Resources and the HR Business Partner on various HR initiatives to support 4-H and HR objectives.    

     

    HR Benefits & Payroll Specialist

    The HR Benefits & Payroll Specialist is responsible for leading and planning the day-to-day operations of group benefit programs (group health, dental, short-term and long-term disability, etc.) and; leading, planning and administering the payroll processing for Council. On a day to day basis the Payroll & Benefits Administrator provides excellent customer service to Associates by receiving and responding to questions, proactively planning and preparing for payroll and benefits activities/events, and coordinating education sessions related to benefits and payroll to foster a best places to work culture.    

     

    Special Assistant to the President & CEO

    The Special Assistant serves a key leadership role within the Executive Office and the organization as a whole; acts as a point of contact for the President and CEO to all levels at Council, providing oversight on high profile projects, partnerships and key relationships. In support of the President and CEO, the Special Assistant will collaborate with the Chief Strategy Officer, members of the Executive Office and Senior Leadership Team on communication, scheduling, relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and special projects.         

     

    Senior Graphic Designer

    The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for the production of printed and digital media for National 4-H Council and for the processes, quality, and timeliness of those services.  Develop corporate branding and marketing support materials with innovative design, art direction and quality execution.  Understand and protect National 4-H Council brand while collaborating with stakeholders on the Marketing team and other staff as necessary, to provide creative input and direction to help elevate the end deliverables.  She/he will interface directly with account service, other designers, video producers, copywriters, web developers and outside contractors (freelancers and vendors) to complete design requirements or supervise in-house production.    

     

    Research Analyst

    The Research Analyst provides research support to the RD-Business Development and Advancement teams.  This position prepares, writes, and edits a wide array of research assignments for the team, including corporate and foundation profiles, individual wealth screenings, and monitoring news alerts.  The Researcher assembles confidential and sensitive information for executive action.    

     

    Conference Center Marketing Manager

    This Conference Center Marketing Manager will be responsible for gaining customers for the National 4-H Youth Conference Center (Center).  The focus of this position is to drive leads to the sales team through daily execution of the marketing plan against a number of segments, developing and planning appropriate collateral and marketing activities to support Center strategy with a focus on increasing revenues and creating brand preference.    

     

    Sales Manager

    The Sales Manager is responsible for negotiations with customers, managing accounts, closing the sale for all conventions, meetings group travel, and room bookings.  This position involves telemarketing, email, direct mail, and uses a variety of other means to expand client base in assigned territories/industries.  This role solicits and develops new business (local, statewide, national, and international) and provides guidance for Conference Service Managers requiring assistance.  The Sales Manager is assigned to cover one of the following markets: government, non-profits, schools, scouts, domestic tour, international, 4-H, and religious groups.    

     

    Special Events Manager

    The Special Events Manager coordinates and leads the special events fundraising programs for National 4-H Council to generate sustainable income, marketing, regular giving among key constituencies of 4-H. This position develops and implements Special Event revenue generation strategies that will grow revenue in each signature special event. Special Events include signature campaigns including gala and leadership round table events, and several other smaller fundraising and community visibility events, all of which are aligned to increase the 4-H brand value. The Manager, Special Events identifies event volunteer leadership and organizing committee members, solicits underwriting support, creates and implements an event management plan and executes events within event budgets and achieving fundraising goals.

     

    Public Relations Manager 

    The Public Relations Manager will have responsibility for achieving National 4-H Council’s goals in Food Security, Healthy Living or Science by generating increased visibility and promotion in concert with corporate partners in order to drive revenue. The Public Relations Manager will serve as the marketing and communications leader on a cross-functional team responsible for National 4-H Council outreach efforts; and will be responsible for managing the planning, coordination, implementation and execution of 4-H’s efforts to enhance the 4-H brand and to promote donor-supported programs relative to the Manager’s issue area (Food Security, Healthy Living or Science).

     

     

    Corporate Partnerships Manager (Two Positions)

    The Corporate Partnerships Manager contributes to the Resource Development fundraising goal that includes a coordinated solicitation of corporate gifts, foundation grants, event sponsorship, cause marketing and employee engagement opportunities. The Corporate Partnerships Manager also works in partnership with the Development Director to successfully implement their mission mandate area team plan (STEM or Healthy Living). Strategize and contribute in all areas of the Resource Development team including planning, cultivation, new business development, donor deliverables, and reporting. Position will also initiate, solicit and close national corporate and foundation funding partnerships and promotions to support Council’s Strategic Plan. The Development Manager is assigned to work around one of the following strategic mission mandate area: Healthy Living or STEM.

  • Citizenship Washington Focus Program Assistant

    Get paid and live on the campus of the National 4-H Youth Conference Center while you spend some quality time in our nation's capital as a CWF program assistant. CWF program assistants ensure that CWF participants have fun and learn a lot during their stay here. They become licensed Washington, DC, tour guides and facilitate the program's educational workshops. Develop and enhance your leadership skills as you explore a variety of aspects of citizenship with Washington, DC, as the backdrop!

    Wonders of Washington Program Assistant

    Get paid to spend quality time in our nation's capital and live on the campus of the National 4-H Youth Conference Center as a WOW Program Assistant. WOW Program Assistants ensure that WOW participants have fun while they learn! PAs become licensed Washington, DC tour guides to lead the WOW participants throughout Washington, DC, and relay information about the city and our nation's rich history. They also facilitate the program's educational workshops. WOW PAs have the opportunity to work as office interns with the different departments of National 4-H Council. Develop and enhance your leadership skills as you explore a variety of aspects of the non-profit sector!
