    e-Academy Educational Highlights

    • Participants will come away with the knowledge they need to train volunteers and community partners in 4-H Science programs.
    • Subject matter experts, from across the country, will lead you through more than 22 hours of interactive learning sessions.
    • Educators from within 4-H Science will make themselves available to answer questions and share their valuable experience and expertise. 

    What is the E in e-Academy?

    Simply put, the E reflects the use of the Internet for a specific activity. Many of you remember the emergence of electronic mail or e-mail and how it has changed our lives. This E-Academy reflects the evolving paradigm of providing professional development utilizing educational technologies and the Internet.

    Keys Terms and Phrases
    • E-learning is the computer and network-enabled transfer of skills and knowledge
    • Blended learning is education that combines face-to-face classroom methods with computer-mediated activities
    • Differentiated instruction - is a framework or philosophy for effective teaching that involves providing students with different avenues to acquiring content; to processing, constructing, or making sense of ideas
    • Synchronous learning a group of people learning the same thing at the same time
    • Asynchronous learning is learning outside the constraints of time and place
