Framework and Evaluation
The 4-H Healthy Living mission engages youth and families through access and opportunities to achieve physical, social, emotional well-being.
Strategic Framework
Based
on a review of current 4-H and youth healthy living research, the Healthy Living Strategic Framework outlines goals, objectives, strategies, tactics and indicators that Extension
staff should consider when developing programming for youth and their families.
Logic Models
Designed
to assess the impact of 4-H Healthy Living programming on youth and their
families, logic models have been developed to evaluate programs in terms of
current needs, defined inputs, and expected outcomes. These logic models have been tailored to six
different areas of health: physical activity, nutrition, social-emotional
well-being, unintentional accidents, safety and alcohol/tobacco/drugs.
